personality; Look up the word 'British' in the dictionary and there's a picture of Trent Crimm beside the definition. Reserved to a fault, it's only to close friends that his true personality begins to show. During his time at The Independent, he took his job like he took everything else: seriously. Known for asking the tough and piercing questions (not to mention more than a few scathing exposés) it's hard not to treat friends as if they're under that same journalistic microscope.

He's, however, learning how to live without having deadlines surrounding him. He's not quite sure what he's going to do with himself now — there may be a book in all of his experiences that he needs to write. (Particularly how to have journalistic integrity...)

For Trent, there's nothing better at the end of a long day than curling up with a good LP, a cup of tea (or whiskey), and a good book. Well, at least on the nights his ex-husband has their daughter. When Amaya's home. . . he's dealing with her chaos and unending episodes of Peppa Pig.

appearance; A lover of classic rock, he's most often found in a faded band shirt paired with a blazer. Trent has that casual elegance look to him where, somehow, he could wear the same clothes to a fancy dinner or a night club and not look a whit out of place.

He's been going grey since his university days, but in the last few years he's stopped dying it and embraced his silver fox ways. He keeps his hair long, most often wearing it pulled back into some sort of a ponytail or man bun. Trent has been known to have a few nervous twitches, so it's nothing to see him carding his fingers through his own hair — or have an elastic band around his wrist.

THAT SLOW BURN
Post-S2 || The one where Trent has as strong of a moral compass as Ted.

It shouldn't have taken as long for the locksmith to arrive as it did. By the time the bloke had arrived, Trent had been roped into no less than five different conversations about that article. And, while he didn't usually mind idle small chat (and commentary about any of his writings) today was not the day for it. For once, it was his turn for a muttered 'no comment' while he glared at the keys taunting him from the centre console.

He was tired. He had a migraine. And, more than anything, he wanted to either be home or at the Crown with a pint in his hand — not necessarily in that order.

Trent Crimm, however, was not proud of the fact that he damn near dove behind his car when he heard Rebecca approaching. One tough conversation with Ted was enough. He wasn't in the mood for her sanctimonious... whatever. Trent believed that Ted didn't breathe a word of his journalistic integrity. It was why he told the man in the first place.

Because after all this time, he still couldn't help but root for Ted.

That, of course, didn't mean that he felt like defending any of his decisions to Rebecca — nor explain just why he'd gotten fired either.

Thankfully the locksmith arrived just before he had the opportunity to perfect his behind-the-bonnet dive to avoid one growling Roy Kent.

Crown & Anchor first. Then home. A pint, then sleep.

With his ex-husband handling Amaya for the weekend (thank heavens for small favors and a custody agreement that happened to have perfect timing), he was free to have some much needed time to himself. Trent dropped his car off near his flat — keys firmly in his pocket, thank you very much — and began to wind his way through toward the Crown and Anchor. Yes, he knew he owed Mae an apology just to get a pint out of the woman, but worth it. The walk, though long, did him good to stretch his legs and gave him the chance to work out some sort of an apology script.

Squaring his shoulders, hand on the doorknob, he exhaled and entered the pub.
